We all know the problem

With these laws, the US authorities no longer need to petition foreign governments to gain access to data belonging to non-US businesses. This means that, regardless of where your company is incorporated or conducting business, the US can access your data if your service provider is a US-based entity.
There’s also a similar law in China called the Data Security Law or ‘DSL’.
